Vandalism by User:Alef Davidowitz
[trocar el manadero]Hi Jan Myšák! I'm confused about how to mark a page for deletion on lad.wikipedia.org. I made an attempt to do so, and it wasn't correct. I tried to clear the page in the meantime, but you undid that change. The edits by this user constitute vandalism and need to be reversed, and the user probably needs to be blocked or similar on top of that. How can I help mark these things on this wiki? —Firespeaker (discusión) 17:36 2 abr 2021 (UTC)
- @Firespeaker: Hi, the way non-administrator way to delete a page is to flag it for deletion. The universal template for that is {{delete|reason}}. Is should be placed on the top of the page and the rest of the page you want to be deleted is best kept untouched. Best, Jan (discusión) - 17:42 2 abr 2021
- Okay, thanks. I had the wrong template. I'm not going to leave ethnic slurs on a page while I wait for a page to be deleted, though—there's vandalism and there's vandalism. How do we request a user to considered a vandal? —Firespeaker (discusión) 17:31 5 abr 2021 (UTC)
- @Firespeaker: Hi, a few things. I get it that you didn't want to leave rude words there, so in that case, be careful what you delete – the template has to stay there. Secondly, you should sign your discussion posts with ~~~~ (there is a button for it on the top left when editing) I forgot to do it myself when responding to your previous post, lol. And lastly – I'm not sure what you mean by your question. Like reporting a vandal to the administrators? --Jan Myšák (discusión) 17:37 5 abr 2021 (UTC)
- @Jan Myšák:, yes, I thought I've been signing my posts using ~~~~—is that not registering right for you? I'm not sure what of that page wasn't inappropriate language—all if it needed to go. Perhaps I should have put something in its place, I'm not sure. And yes, I'd like to report that user to an administrator—all of their contributions seem to constitute vandalism. —Firespeaker (discusión) 19:28 5 abr 2021 (UTC)
- @Firespeaker: My bad, you did sign your post, I guess I'm just blind :D. Anyway, reporting vandals is project-specific. Usually there is an Administrator's noticeboard or something like that where vandalism is reported, you can see a list of them here at Wikidata. When it's a small wiki like this one, or a user is vandalizing multiple wikis, you can report them here or here. Also there is no need to ping me on my talk page, I get notified automatically ;) --Jan Myšák (discusión) 19:45 5 abr 2021 (UTC)
