@Marrovi: Sorry to write in English. Marrovi, I appreciate that some of these names (Castro, Méndez, etc.) suggest a strong possibility of Sephardic origins. But a name is not enough; you need to provide a direct, reliable source that a given individual is of Sephardic origin. (Exception: if it's obvious or well-known, such as in the case of Spinoza.) Note that most of the sources I checked actually doubt that Fidel Castro was of Sephardic origin. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 8 Kislev 5777 • 14:30 8 Diz 2016 (UTC)

Fidel Castro is Cuban, not Mexican, he was Sephardic heritage by Ruz (son of Ruth), Castro is a Galician surname.--Marrovi (discusión) 15:19 8 Diz 2016 (UTC)
I know Ruz makes the chances pretty good. But many Internet sources are doubtful he is really of Sephardic origin, and on Wikipedia we need proof that at least someone has traced his origins back to a Sephardic source. Having a name that makes it likely is not good enough. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 8 Kislev 5777 • 15:52 8 Diz 2016 (UTC)
I'm not in accord with this note [1], but is very popular in Cuba, to talk about the Sephardic roots of Castro Ruz family. I make a trip to Cuba island, is very, very interesting to discover many topics.--Marrovi (discusión) 16:10 8 Diz 2016 (UTC)
Interesting. A blog like that is not considered a reliable source, of course.
If you can find me a reliable source, we can include it. StevenJ81 (discusión) • 8 Kislev 5777 • 17:20 8 Diz 2016 (UTC)
