I'm only editing this Wikipedia because I know some Spanish, and I want to help the Wikipedias that don't have a lot of articles. I don't actually know any Ladino.
Jewish Alphabet
[trocar el manadero]Too many articles in Jewish Alphabet are "Red". We seriously need to change that and transliterate the templates. If you know Jewish Alphabet and Ladino, please get to transliterating we need it badly. :(--69.174.252.80 02:09, 26 Agosto 2006 (UTC)
- I have a basic knowledge of the Hebrew alphabet so I might be able to translate some of the pages in Latin text to Hebrew text, but I'm not promising it'll be all that acurate. But it's a start. RyGuy 18:44, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Alfabeto Hebreo | Hebrew Alphabet
What ortography do you use for the Ladino written in the Hebrew alphabet? I believe that the Rashi script hasn't been used in a long time. Do you have a link so I can learn how to use it for Ladino? I already know the Hebrew alphabet for Hebrew and Arabic.

Yerros a Enderechar
2. Ke kere dir Kacha? Si kerej dizir Kasha, kale eskrivir Kasha, kacha es ortografía franseza.
NOOOOO!!!!!! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Why has everything turned into normal Spanish? It wasn't like this the last time I came here! Unless this wiki is re-Ladinoised there might aswell not be a Ladino Wikipedia! Runningfridgesrule 23:57 25 Ago 2008 (UTC)
Dear Runningfridgesrule,
Nothing has turned to "normal" Spanish. First of all, Ladino or better speaking, Judeo-Spanish is not "Spanish written with K, Ny and S instead of C, Ñ and Z". Until now, almost most of the Ladino Vikipedia was (and still is) in modern Spanish, written with K and S etc...
If you carefully look at the main page now, you will see that it's the real Judeo-Spanish using rather an iberic ortography (link also given on the main page). Now, we are working on standardizing the Judeo-Spanish Vikipedia and also opening a Wiktionary with the same ortography.
Take care, --Universal Life 02:18 26 Ago 2008 (UTC)
¿Que pasó? / What hapened?
in english: Who the heck choose this writing and the words? (and based upon what?) I had to read it carefully for a moment to check out if it was Judeo spanish or actually it was spanish, cause, to told the truth, I couldnt find many diferences with my native language, it was like fluently read standar spanish :(
I en djudeoespanyol no egziste!

- Yeah, I've remarked that beautiful feature in the Serbian Wikipedia. And I've requested to MediaWiki for that. They told me that there are not enough articles with the Hebrew alphabet and that there are really few contributors to the Wikipedia. Also, they told all the messages in the MediaWiki interface are not translated. So when these problems will be solved, I think then they'll accept such a feature. I've been translating a lot of the interface messages and I'm working in standardising the messages as there are no words for technical things in Ladino. I'm consulting other native speakers in Israel who also use computer, so we came up with the word "atamiento" for the word link instead of Castilian enlace, which doesn't mean anything in Ladino. I'll also start adding articles with Hebrew script. So, hopefully, when they see our efforts, they'll let us use the feature. However we definitely need more contributors. -- Universal Life (mi hoja de diskussión

- I am starting to transcribe the Latin articles into Hebrew letters starting with Astronomy and working my way down. Just as a note, I have noticed some spelling variation with the Latin alphabet which for the most part disappears when transcribed into Hebrew letters. For example, lengua, lingua, לינגוה. I just started a Wikibooks project for Ladino to also have a repository of literature written by native speakers, but the main priority will be translating all the Wikimedia messages. VisualEditor coming to the Ladino Wikipedia
[trocar el manadero]Hello. Please excuse the English. I would be grateful if you can translate this message!
VisualEditor is coming to the Ladino Wikipedia on December 2nd. VisualEditor is software in development to allow people to edit pages in MediaWiki without needing to learn wikitext syntax (like typing [[ and ]] to link to another page). It is already available and in use on some Wikipedia projects. Please see mw:Help:VisualEditor/FAQ for more information.
When this software arrives, you will have the option to use it or to use the current wikitext editor. When you press “edit”, you will get the new VisualEditor software. To use the wikitext editor, you can press “edit source”. For more information about how to use VisualEditor, see mw:Help:VisualEditor/User guide.
We hope that this software will be useful to people in your community, and we can really use your help to make it better! Please let us know if you find any problems. If you're willing and able, please report the issue in Bugzilla in the "VisualEditor" product. If you would prefer not, please explain the issue you found on the central feedback page on MediaWiki.org. If you notice major issues impacting your project, we would appreciate it if you could let us know directly. Please leave a note on my talk page or, if it’s an emergency, like an unexpected bug causing widespread issues, reach out to James Forrester, the Product Manager, at jforrester@wikimedia.org for immediate attention.
If you have time, please test the new editor before it is deployed. This would let us know about any serious issues specific to this Wikipedia before the rollout. To enable VisualEditor now, go to your “Preferences”, select “Editing” and select “Enable VisualEditor”.
We would also appreciate help with translation with the pages about VisualEditor here and on MediaWiki.org, and its user interface. See VisualEditor TranslationCentral for general information. To translate the user interface, start by creating an account at TranslateWiki. Once your account request is approved, all you need to do is select your language from this list. This will give you a list of individual lines and paragraphs. The English original will be on one side, with the option to “edit” on the other. Pressing “edit” will open an edit window where you can work.
The User Guide is another important document. To translate this, simply go to the MediaWiki.org page, and select “translate this page”. Your language should be available from the drop-down menu on the right. If you want to help with translations and would like to talk about how, please leave a message for me on my talk page.
Thank you, and happy editing! --Mdennis (WMF) (discusión) 20:12 15 Nov 2013 (UTC)
- I just wanted to remind you that VisualEditor is due to arrive on the Ladino Wikipedia later today. We will also be hosting two Office Hours about VisualEditor very soon. These are online, live meetings hosted by Wikimedia Foundation staff. You can read about them at m:IRC office hours. They are hosted in English. When they are finished, logs will be posted on Meta and will appear at m:IRC office hours/Office hours 2013-12-02 and m:IRC office hours/Office hours 2013-12-03. If you have a question about VisualEditor but cannot attend, please feel free to email me at mdennis@wikimedia.org. I will do my best to get an answer for you, then or later! The first Office Hour is at 1900 UTC today (see [1] for local time conversion). The second is at 0100 UTC tomorrow (see [2]). Thanks, and I hope the software will be very useful to you! --Mdennis (WMF) (discusión) 16:54 2 Dez 2013 (UTC)

[trocar el manadero]My grandmother is a native speaker of Ladino, I tried showing her this Wikipedia and she thought it was ridiculous. The alphabet you have "invented" is original research and I regret to tell you that NOBODY will ever spell things like this: "kapítůlo", except for you. The point of a Wikipedia is to be readable to speakers of a language, and nobody is able to, or wants to, read an encyclopedia written in your made-up alphabet. This is a travesty, you have ruined something that could have been great.
Hello, Dear wikipedians. I invite you to edit and improve this article and to add information about your and other country.--Kaiyr (discusión) 12:24 31 Ocho 2014 (UTC)
